Fargo
Fargo (1996)

IMDB rating: 8.20

Plot: Fargo is based on true events that occurred in Minnesota in 1987 with the names changed to protect the victims. Jerry works in his father-in-law’s car dealership and has gotten himself in financial problems. He tries various schemes to come up with money needed for a reason that is never really explained. It has to be assumed that his huge embezzlement of money from the dealership is about to be discovered by father-in-law. When all else falls through, plans he set in motion earlier for two men to kidnap his wife for ransom to be paid by her wealthy father (who doesn’t seem to have the time of day for son-in-law). From the moment of the kidnapping, things go wrong and what was supposed to be a non-violent affair turns bloody with more blood added by the minute. Jerry is upset at the blood shed, which turns loose a pregnant sheriff from MN who is tenacious in attempting to solve the three murders in her jurisdiction.

Can I close my Wells Fargo retirement account…?
even though I am only 28…and use the cash for bills?

If it’s an IRA you will be hit for 20% tax for early distribution.

If it’s a 401(k) account, read the plan provisions. If it’s an IRA, yes you can. Be prepared for penalty and txes in either case.

Right at the outset, they are given false names with an intention that they won’t get too close and concentrate on the job instead. They are completely sure that the robbery is going to be a success. But when the police show up right at the time and the site of the robbery, panic spreads amongst the group members and one of them is killed in the subsequent shootout along with a few policemen and civilians. He’s so busy manning the set of L.A. Ink, and his shop, Six Feet Under, in Vegas, it’d probably be hard to get a slot. But you can try. E-mail him at his Vegas address.

Patience [think about how many other people want tattoos by those artists] and lots and lots of money. That shop has a $200 minimum for tattoos.

Escape from L.A.Escape from L.A. (1996)

IMDB rating: 5.10

Plot: Sequel to “Escape From New York”. In 2000, a huge earthquake hits Los Angeles which causes the whole city to be now situated on an island. In that year the new life-term US President, an out-spoken moralist declares that all people not conforming to the high morals he sets for the country will be deported to the Los Angeles island. Like New York, a wall is built, guards posted to stop any escapes and if sent there - you can’t return to the US. In 2013, Cuervo Jones, a terrorist invades the dreams of the President’s daughter, Utopia, and brainwashes her into stealing a device from a weapons establishment and runs with Cuervo to the island. Snake Plissken, hero of Escape From New York, is forced again to go to the island to get the device by the President (who doesn’t care if Utopia returns or not.) and he is poisoned to ensure his co-operation. Like New York, Los Angeles is now a decaying city, a hot-bed of scum and weirdos and Snake has 9 hours to find the device and Utopia, and get out before the poison kicks in.

Do you think It would make a good book?
Ok, im thinking of writing a book… but im not quite sure.

Its a bit of a hard topic to explain
but i want to write a book like directed aimed at the way i think/ whats gone on in my life
and try and make ppl think differently / like consider consequences
but indirectly
i want 2 make a difference (im only 16 by the way… nearly 17 but ive written 32 poems already in my life time… ive been told quite a few times to get them published - but i dunno)
but anyway i mean i want 2 write something 2 stop or at least make ppl c that things r wrong
like - i want ppl 2 understand whats gone on from my point of view and make people realise that people dont think sometimes and their actions can destroy children
and like adults abuse (literally sometimes) their authority etc

but im not quite sure :L
it would be a pretty depressing book
but maybe in that people will realise that their childhood was good even if they thought otherwise

and like people who grow up with violence often end up living with it 4 the rest of their lives… like abusive father … abusive husband
or like the fact that they have been abused and so they kinda cant help doing the same 2 their children
like they cant escape it but violence seems to follow them

i want ppl 2 know that they DOESN’T have 2 happen
and they CAN break the vicious circle

im adding things about my life in too… about me like losing the who;le family when i was just 5, my sisters taken from me whom of which were extremely close to me.
but not just that its like losing everything in life- everything that i thought i had and thought was MINE… but obviously wasn’t.
how things that may seem small 2 adults can destroy a child’s life, shatter it 2 pieces and the adults just don’t understand. but it still effects that child through all their life they just grow up and think of it from different perspective but its there with them every single day of their life…

Basically i want people to think more about divorce, abuse, bullying etc and make them see that abuse is wrong and no one should ever go through it.

Tell me what you think… and yes my ideas are muddled but i know what i am talking about (and these are just the beginning ideas)

Nat XxX

Ya I think it’s a good idea. I think you should definitely pursue it!
Good luck:)

Yes. Keep writing.

I would think that if you really wanted to be a writer, you would take more time to straighten out your ideas before asking for opinions. From what I tried to scan through of your question, it seemed vague and already done before. To be honest, I can’t imagine what your poems or writings would be like because I had a hard time reading with all of the misspellings and lack of correct punctuation.

I’m well aware that I am not the grammar police and nor do I usually call people out on it. However, when someone is asking about being a writer, I’m obligated to try to enforce them to write (and type) with intelligence. How do you expect anyone to take your ideas seriously if the author doesn’t take the time to show their literary abilities?
somethingelse | Nov 11, 2009

If you are serious about being a writer the the first thing to do is stop using phone text and the second is take care over spelling and grammar.
If your life was as bad as the piece seems to indicate then it is no wonder your ideas are muddled and it is even more important for you to put them in order. Although it is no consolation many children go through the things you describe and worse and come out of it fairly well although not completely unscathed but very few of them ever bother to write the things that have happened to then down on paper.
Writing a book on the subject from the point of view of the ‘victim’ is a good idea but it should not be depressing. It should be hard hitting and will be sad and even sometimes horrifying but leave depressing out even though you think that is not possible.
You say you are a teenager but I would have guessed that anyway by the number of times and the context in which you use the word ‘like.’ I have an eighteen year old granddaughter and she is always using that word.
Writing down your experiences may give you some closure as to the effect they have had on your life and I really hope that happens for you. Do write the book and even if it is not published you will be surprised at the effect that it will have on your outlook on everyday life. Good luck with it.

I have to agree with Brian and somethin.. I went to Art College with many people who could not draw and found it infuriating. It’s one thing to have fantastic ideas but another to create something of quality and substance with them. I don’t know if you are genuine but I do think you are seeking attention. Think carefully about what you want from life.
